Seismic Response of Embedded Retaining Wall for Excavation Support

چکیده

Abstract A comparative analysis of the solutions for seismic impact on a flexible retaining wall designed to strengthen construction excavation multi-storey building in Sofia has been performed. For this purpose, following FEM calculation models interaction with surrounding soil body were compiled: (1) 1D beam-column-spring model wall, including spring support its embedded length and pseudostatic loading active earth pressure, determined by Mononobe-Okabe method; (2) 2D body, form inertial forces applied at finite element nodes; (3) time history FE conducted accelerograms two landmark earthquakes from Balkan Peninsula - 1976 Vrancea (Romania) earthquake 1986 Kalamata (Greece) earthquake. The analyzes was basis reference acceleration 2.3 m/s 2 , city according hazard map Bulgaria. scaled maximum value PGA = . physical modelling uses HSM HSsmall advanced constitutive laws, implemented Plaxis software.
